Matt and Sarah Rogers have called Greenville home for most of the last two decades after graduating from Furman University and North Greenville University respectively. They have five children—Corrie, Avery, Hudson, Willa, and Fuller. Matt aids TCC’s various mission and church planting endeavors, equips the next generation of pastors and missionaries, and preaches consistently. Sarah is passionate about the work of women’s discipleship, assists in corporate worship through song, and makes the Rogers’ home an epicenter of care and mission.
Toby Dix, a native of Travelers Rest, SC, was saved by God at the age of 19 and has served in ministry for almost three decades. Toby was instrumental in helping plant the church that became The Church at Cherrydale. 25 years ago, Toby founded Be Real Ministries conducting Meltdown Student Conferences across the Southeast. Toby is married to Julieann and they are blessed with two older, teenage children. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors with his family & friends through hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Hugh and Hollie Carson have lived in Greenville since 2010. They are both graduates of the University of North Georgia. They have three children – Laney, Mattie, and Bennett. Hugh serves in overseeing small group leaders, membership, college ministry, and counseling. Hugh served as a Journeyman Missionary with the International Mission Board and holds a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Hollie partners with Hugh in ministry, she loves investing in young ladies, and she devotes time in home-schooling and caring for their children.
Jonathan Chasteen was initially a part of the church plant that became The Church at Cherrydale. Jonathan was later affirmed as a pastor at TCC in 2014 and serves TCC by providing oversight of Men’s & Women’s and Deacon Ministries. Jonathan and Kim have three daughters: Ella, Sophie, and Evie. Jonathan is a registered Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University. Jonathan enjoys spending time with family, Clemson Tiger sporting events, yard work, and gardening.
Brandon has been faithfully serving in the local church for the past 15 years as a teacher, mentor, and small group leader. He is married to his outstanding wife, Karla, and they have 2 incredible kids. Brandon serves TCC as a pastor in our small group ministry and teaching. Outside of TCC, he works as a Strength Coach and enjoys quiet time with his family, woodworking, and fitness.
Donny began serving TCC as a pastor in 2014 and helps to coordinate the Core classes and Family Meetings at TCC.. Donny and Amber have two children: Trace and Hallie. Donny is a Professor of Christian Studies at North Greenville University where he teaches New Testament, Hermeneutics, and Biblical Greek. He holds a Master of Divinity in Higher Education and PhD in New Testament Language, Literature, and Theology from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Donny enjoys cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats, spending time with his family, and playing golf.
