Family Values
We want to be the kind of church that exists as a healthy, vibrant family. The New Testament often uses family language to speak of the church such as these words found in Ephesians 2:19: “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God”. As a family, we want to be defined by certain Family Values that direct our individual and collective efforts. These seven Family Values summarize the type of people we strive to be and, in turn, the type of church we want to be known as.
We Pursue
Christ
by striving to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ
We Live Connected
by investing in real relationships
We Serve Joyfully
by using our gifts to build up the church
We Love Our Neighbors
by putting others first through intentional efforts to know those God’s placed around us.
We Share Good News
by sharing the story of Jesus to those who are far from God but close to me.
We Give Generously
by living open-handed and using what I’m given to serve others.
We Do Hard Things
by pursuing God’s highest ideal for my life and those around me regardless of the cost.
